Admission Rules

Those applying for Honours in any one of the above subjects (Arts and Science streams) shall have to obtain 50% aggregate marks in the Higher Secondary Examination along with 45% in the concern subject.
(However a relaxation of 5% and 10% shall be allowed for SC/ST candidates respectively)
Separate applications are to be submitted for Honours and Pass courses by all applicants.
In the case of admission in the Honours course only 3 (three) applications can be entertained. More than 3 applications shall be treated as cancelled.
Admissions to first year classes (both Hons. & Pass) courses are conducted only on the basis of MERIT (publication of merit lists and holding of counseling)
In the case of Hons. Courses merit is determined by marks obtained in best 4+concerned subject; in the case of pass courses only best 4 (four) marks of subjects are required excluding ENVS marks.
Those not having Philosophy as subject in their H.S or equivalent examination shall not be allowed to opt for Philosophy as a pass subject.
At the time of Admission the application forms shall be submitted along with attested Xerox copies of admit cards and mark sheets of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Examinations along with caste certificates for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B and PH candidates as per government norms.
During the time of counseling and admission all original admit cards, mark sheets, certificates has to be produced along with the requisite fee (see the fees structure).
Two stamp sixe photographs of the candidate are to be affixed in application form.
During the filling up of University registration forms as well as final examination forms copies of H.S mark sheets and caste certificate (as per norms) are to be attached.
